A ‘flashpoint' for the Biden administration has been revealed

Sky News host Alan Jones says the military coup which occurred in Myanmar has revealed a “flashpoint” in the Biden administration.

Mr Jones spoke of Myanmar’s de facto leader, Aung San Suu Kyi – who is among 24 ministers and deputies who were detained following days of escalating tensions between the civilian government and the military.

“Why this woman persists, few could possibly know. I suppose it’s called patriotism,” he said.

“But the opposition is backed by the military and enjoys automatic representation in the parliament.”

Mr Jones said “while all this was unfolding”, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Nancy Pelosi were reportedly “debating whether or not to call the military takeover a ‘coup’”.

“Don’t they own a dictionary? Of course it is a coup,” he said.

“This is a flashpoint for the Biden Administration.

“Is it strange that all of this is happening post-Trump?”
