हाल ही में Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology यानी MeitY ने IT Rules में संशोधन लागू किए हैं, जिनका सीधा असर सोशल मीडिया क्रिएटर्स पर पड़ेगा।
ये गाइड लाइन्स AI & Synthetic Content से जुडी हैं| इसमें सरकार ने बताया है कि अगर आप इन नियमो का उल्लंघन करेंगे तो आपका चैनल बैन हो सकता है या सीधे उस विडिओ को डिलीट किया जा सकता है। कोंग्रेस की प्रवक्ता सुप्रिया श्रीनेत ने हाल ही में एक pc कर बताया भी है कि उनके 9 AI विडिओ डिलीट कर दिया गए, बिना चेतावनी दिए....तो अगर आप भी न्यूज़ पोर्टल चलाते हैं या YouTuber हैं… तो ये खबर आपके लिए बहुत जरूरी है।
सरकार ऐसा क्यों कर रही है?
क्योंकि पिछले कुछ महीनों में
Deepfake वीडियो, फर्जी न्यूज़ और AI से बनी झूठी क्लिप्स बहुत तेजी से फैलीं।
सरकार का उद्देश्य AI को रोकना नहीं है —
बल्कि दुरुपयोग रोकना है।
AI एक टूल है।
लेकिन अगर उससे गलत सूचना फैली —
तो उसका असर समाज पर बहुत गहरा होता है।
इसीलिए IT Rules संशोधन 2026 के अनुसार AI Generated Content को अब नियमों में शामिल किया गया है

The Government of India has introduced new amendments to the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, bringing AI and synthetic content under stricter compliance.

Under the updated IT Rules (as clarified by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)), creators and platforms must clearly label AI-generated content. Failure to comply may result in:

Video removal within 2–3 hours after complaint

Channel strikes

Monetization suspension
