Why bacteria out-evolve us with antibiotic resistance | Linus Sandegren | TEDxUppsalaUniversity

In his TEDx-talk, he will take you on a journey to show how surprisingly fast bacterial evolution can be and how this came to take the scientific community by surprise. Linus is an associate professor/senior lecturer in Medical Microbiology at the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Microbiology at Uppsala University. He works with the fascinating world of bacterial evolution and has a special focus and interest in how bacteria share genes with each other and how this process helps the bacteria to develop antibiotic resistance. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
