DIY Patterend Acorn HTV - Heat Transfer Vinyl Sign

Materials Used

1) Wood Sign or shape – mine is from Dollar Tree!
2) Heat Transfer Vinyl – I am using pattern HTV from Auntie Tay –don’t forget to use my code “thecraftscraps” for 10% off! https://shopauntietay.com/collections/adhesive-vinyl/products/stencil-film-adhesive-vinyl
3) -Heat source (iron or heat press work great!)
4) -Parchment paper

Step by Step Instructions

1) Open Design Space
2) Make a new project/canvas
3) Insert your image or make a text box and arrange your text (for mine, I went to upload and selected the Auntie Tay SVGs! If you become a member, you get these FOR FREE! https://www.auntietay.com/become-a-member
4) Size the text or image according to your sign dimensions
5) Click MAKE IT
6) ****MIRROR YOUR IMAGE ONCE YOU GET TO THE MAKE IT SCREEN THIS STEP IS SUPER IMPORTANT!****
7) Select your settings - for regular HTV just select Iron On
8) Put HTV ****SHINY SIDE DOWN***** on your mat
9) Load your mat into your machine using arrow buttons
10) Once loaded, click your Cricut button
11) Once cut, unload your mat and take HTV off your mat
12) Weed out negative space so that you are left with the letters or image you are pressing

PRESSING:
Once you have it how you like it, heat up your heat press or iron (for iron, TURN OFF STEAM and use hottest setting)

Once your image Or text is ready to go, put the parchment paper on top of the carrier sheet and PRESS FOR ONLY A FEW SECONDS - WE JUST WANT IT TO BARELY STICK - THIS WILL PREVENT IT FROM SHRINKING AND THROWING OFF DIMENSIONS- don't move your heat source around just set it on the image and press

Peel off carrier sheet
Now, place your next layer of HTV onto the HTV that is already pressed and line up the layers accordingly
Once lined up, place the large carrier sheet (from your original chunk of HTV - I didn't do this in the video on accident) over the entire image and press firmly for 15-20 seconds
