12. Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin [1980-06-26 - Live at Vienna]

Alright folks! The thing is that it's Zeppelin's Presence birthday once again (time flew like hell, it seems it was yesterday i uploaded 7/24/1979 for him) and here we go back on the uploads! This time, i shall do a show from i tour wich i rarely focused: the ever underrated 1980 Tour Over Europe, wich would become their last tour ever! The show in question was recorded at the Vienna's Stadthalle, it's complete and in good enough sound to all of you enjoy.

The 1980 Tour is best known for quite uneven performances overrall (on a single show there can be excellent and awful musical/vocal moments), but there are six shows wich i'd recommend to anyone who wants to get into these concerts and this is one of them. Jimmy actually plays mostly well, with awesome soloings throghout the songs, and Plant, although roughned up on the first few numbers like always, quite cleans up as the show progresses and sings greatly overrall. Sadly, they dropped Achilles Last Stand for some reason, plus the show becomes more (in)famous due the firecracker haphazard during White Summer (Jimmy is hit by a firecracker while playing, goes backstage and the promoter tries to sort out the thing with the audience - wich receives the band back with a great chant of "Sorry! Sorry!"). But don't you worry - you still have great performances of In The Evening, The Rain Song, All My Love, Kashmir, Stairway To Heaven (one of Jimmy's best solos on this song) and a amazing Whole Lotta Love at the end!
