उत्तराखंड के 4 ज़िलों के 17 जगहों के नाम धामी सरकार ने इसलिए बदले ताकि देवभूमि की सांस्कृतिक पहचान को संजोया जा सके... लेकिन देहरादून के मियांवाला का नाम बदलने का दांव... विवादों में पड़ गया है... भले ही नया नाम रामजीवाला किया गया है... लेकिन हिंदू समाज नाराज है.. वो कह रहे हैं कि मियांवाला का मुस्लिमों से कोई वास्ता नहीं है... बल्कि एक उपाधि है... इसलिए मियांवाला नाम को न बदला जाए...
