C-5 Improved

Circa 1982 film touting greater capability of modified and new production C-5s. Includes some footage from 1973 "Operation Nickel Grass" and footage of the October 1974 Minuteman missile air launch. Also some "off road" footage as a C-5A maneuvers through mud and snow.

The source of the film isn't clear, it's either the USAF or Lockheed. Point for it being the USAF: mention of the KC-10 in the beginning. Point for it being Lockheed: Other than that brief mention, it's totally a C-5 film and stresses C-5 abilities that compete with performance claims for the C-17.
