Pinto Canyon Road Texas – EP 37
In this video I traveled from Houston, TX to Marfa, TX on Sunday Nov. 10th. The main objective staying overnight in Marfa, TX for one day was to start driving Pinto Canyon Road early on Monday morning. The day started out overcast and drizzling with 64 degree F. temperatures. As the front came thru around 2pm the temperature began dropping and eventually had a 26 degree F. for a low.

On this particular day Pinto Canyon Road (PCR) was very easily navigable. 4X4 was not required and any vehicle with some clearance at all could transverse. I saw 3 vehicles total on PCR, all 3 going North to South. One was a traveler staying at Chinati Hot Springs, one was a local rancher that stopped to check if all was good while I was eating lunch and the 3rd was a game warden patrolling. We also spoke for 5 minutes or so.

I would definitely take this drive again and recommend it. I did’nt have the best weather but but you have to make due with what your given.
