Taylor Guitars just announced three of their most significant design shifts in a decade. While the technical upgrades to the bracing and neck are impressive, I’m feeling a bit conflicted about the electronics.

The legendary ES2 system is officially being phased out. I know, I know—it was "fiddly" to set up and the sensor tension could be a headache—but when it was dialed in, it was one of the most natural-sounding systems on the market.
