Is 10 years a long time?

The Daily Shed #1823 - I remember being a kid and my dad telling me that when I was his age, time would fly by. I didn't believe it but came to recognize the truth in it... with age. At some point, that also meant that I wouldn't recognize lengths of time as being significant indicators of competency or value.
