2023 JACARÉ BRAZIL (AFRO ROOTS with WELSON TREMURA)

Jacaré Brazil performing at the 2023 AFRO ROOTS FEST - Our group was the opening act for a fantastic night of Afro and Afro-Cuban music. Specializing in the musical traditions of Latin America's largest nation, UF's Jacaré Brazil represents the most diverse performance ensemble within a university performing arts program. It comprises four complementary ensemble sections: percussion, vocal, guitar, and instrumental choro. Each semester, specific repertoires combine these sections into unique ensemble groupings featuring guest artists of faculty and students (undergraduate and graduate) from within the School of Music, other units on campus, and the wider music community.
