US election: Biden has more paths to victory as results continue to trickle in

A day after Americans headed to the polls in a heavily contested U.S. election, former vice-president Joe Biden appears to be edging closer to victory.

While the electoral map appeared to favour President Donald Trump on Tuesday evening, results continued to pour in over Wednesday and Biden was able to turn Wisconsin and Michigan blue.

Trump is leading in some important swing states like Pennsylvania and North Carolina, but the high-stakes race remains in flux and it is still too early to say when a true winner could be determined.
