Devil's Tower is the first national monument in the United States. It was established on 24 September 1906 by #president #theodoreroosevelt . Devils Tower is an isolated mountain formed of laccolith igneous rock. It is situated on the river #Belle Fourche. Its peak is 5,112 feet above sea level.
Knowing that there are many gold reserves here, in 1875 under the leadership of Colonel Dodge, scientist geologist Walter P. Jenney conducted a geological survey in the Black Hill region. But they did not find any gold there.
