The Proposal

On October 23, 2015, Melissa set up in Stanford's Arrillaga Gym for what she thought would be a normal afternoon of demo videos. Little did she know that Nick had other plans.

Instead of a usual demo, Nick led Melissa through a medley of dances to songs of special significance to them:

Polka to "Timber" by Pitbull & Kesha
Lindy Hop to "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" by Queen
Rotary Waltz to "Iris" by Goo Goo Dolls
Salsa to "On Top of the World" by Imagine Dragons
Tango to "Undisclosed Desires" by Muse
West Coast Swing to "Layla (Unplugged)" by Eric Clapton

Ending on bended knee, he asked her to marry him, and she said "Yes!"
