Welcome back to The InScentive Collection. In this episode, I’m testing Zaharoff Signature Seraphim Red and trying to figure out where it sits next to its blue brother. I take it from first spray, through that dry, vetiver-heavy opening, all the way to the warm, salty, “Yankee candle at the beach” drydown.

04:20 – Sweetness, ylang ylang, and the “Yankee candle” comparison
05:15 – Is Seraphim Red feminine-leaning or unisex?

08:10 – Final thoughts, 2026 energy, and what’s next on the channel

On paper the note breakdown sounds like a fresh marine scent, but on my skin it turns into something much more niche and experience-driven:

Note Breakdown (from the video):

Top: Pine, pink pepper, eucalyptus

Heart: Sea notes, salt, seaweed, orange blossom, ylang ylang

Base: Amber, sandalwood, white musk, vetiver

The opening hits with dry vetiver, pine, and that prickly pink pepper, plus a candle-wax feeling that’s more “walking through the candle aisle” than typical freshie. As it develops, the sea notes, salt, and seaweed give a warm, marine breeze vibe – like standing at the shoreline in the morning with your feet in the water and the air coming off the ocean.

This is not a traditional designer crowd-pleaser. On my skin it feels more like a niche-leaning, experience fragrance: slightly more feminine (I’d say around 60/40), softly sweet from the florals and ylang ylang, and wrapped in that waxy, salty, warm-air accord. If you love Yankee candles, beach mornings, and salty-sweet air, this might be right up your alley. If you’re only into blue shower-gel scents, this might feel a little “out there.”

I also talk about why Seraphim Blue + Seraphim Red make a nice duo in a collection – the blue for that easier, immediately likeable wear, and the red when you want something moodier, more textured, and just a bit weird in the best way.

👇 Let me know in the comments:

Have you tried Seraphim Red yet, and did you get the same candle / beach vibe?

Are you more Team Blue or Team Red if you had to blind buy one?
