But at the same time, a lot of gamers are asking a very important question: when you buy a digital game, do you really own it?

Physical games still have major benefits in 2026. You can resell them, trade them, lend them to friends, collect them, and often buy them cheaper pre-owned. But digital games are faster, easier, and better suited to modern gaming habits.
