1990 Fat Boy - Sold
This is my 1990 Fat Boy that was for sale in Bozeman, MT.
A rare, under-the-radar collector's bike, only 4,440 of these 'Gray Ghosts' were made in 1990 - the first year of the Fat Boy - and it is the only year this color scheme was available (this was also the only color option for 1990). Adding to the rarity is that many of these were repainted other colors, wrecked, or modified. I've heard that of the 4,440 made, only half are still on the road and only 1/3 still in original condition. There is a lot of lore and controversy surrounding the history behind this bike - checked the pinned comment for the long version of it!
This bike matches the original bill of sale and only necessary parts have been replaced as needed; all the paint is original. The motor is extremely healthy; it was dyno'd last year at 70 hp and 79 ft/lbs torque - not bad at all!
