Architecting Cloud Solutions with AWS Local Zones

AWS Local Zones provide low-latency, high-speed access to infrastructure resources, such as Amazon EC2 instances, RDS & ElastiCache instances, GameLift fleets, and more. AWS Local Zone are similar to standard Availability Zones, but also come with many limitations. For example, only specific EC2 instance type are supported in certain AWS Local Zones. Additionally, only certain EBS volume types are supported in AWS Local Zones. Features like RDS, ElastiCache, GameLift, NAT Gateways, and others, are only available in certain AWS Local Zones. In this video, we'll explore the capabilities and limitations of AWS Local Zones, so that you can feel comfortable incorporating them into your solution designs.
