Spring Cleanup 2021: 2 Republic Services Mack LR McNeilus Rearloader Garbage Trucks

Featured here are 2 of about 10-12 Mack LR McNeilus rear loaders crushing bulk at the spring cleanup. This truck runs out of the Melrose Park division, which originally had about 12-14 of these but due to recent contract losses they have since sent a few away. For whatever reason they have been keeping their oldest rear loaders and sending the newest ones away, which I think is pretty interesting but I’m not complaining.

On 2086, the first rear load I found of the day, there was a cool driver who was moving pretty fast and was quite the expert with the controls as well. The other truck, 2089, features a two man crew with the helper having parked his truck since he packed out, so he could help knock out the last few streets. From what I remember, I think they had maybe 5-7 of these LR McNeilus RLs there that day, among 34 trucks sent out total. I hope you all enjoy the video!
