Something I've noticed that as overall weight has gone up so has the martial rate gone down.
It's no secret that men, especially higher value men, value beauty in women. And, your beauty has a lot to with your weight.
Today it's not uncommon for many females to weigh as much or even more than her male counterparts. This is having a definite effect on their personal and professional chances.
Starting in 2012 Spelman College ditches all sports to use the money to assist with an ever expanding, no pun intended, and larger incoming freshman class.

Without a doubt in an already competitive market adding being overweight or obese does not help ones chances.
