What Matters: Lessons from Anne Frank's Father | Cara Wilson-Granat | TEDxTexasStateUniversity

Inspired by Anne Frank's father, Otto Frank, Cara Wilson-Granat, was guided by her loving mentor in a profound friendship and correspondence which began when she was twelve years old. This beloved Holocaust survivor continued his young daughter's words of hope and the beauty of embracing each moment to a global outreach of young people--all races and religions. His words to Cara during the tumultuous Sixties until the end of his life in 1980 gave her strength when he told her, "Even If the end of the world would be imminent, you still must plant a tree today." Otto's resilience and fortitude to grow beyond tremendous loss and pain uplifted Cara to focus on what really matters most of all. Cara Wilson-Granat is an author, inspirational speaker, storyteller, vegan, animal advocate
and nature-lover. Her books and talks embrace a universal theme of hope over adversity.
She is the author of Strength from Tragedy--Anne Frank's Father Shares His Wisdom with an American Teen; and Strength from Nature--Simple Lessons of Life Taught by the Most Unlikely Masters: The Nature Teachers. Her books, talks, and workshops for all ages are designed to help others lead fulfilling lives while renewing faith in the possibility of peace, diversity, and making positive choices every moment.
