Shrewton's storm overflow

Shrewton water recycling centre, in Wiltshire, has a storm overflow that discharges for more hours than any other overflow in the Wessex Water region, but what does the wastewater from this overflow actually look like?

Watch this video to see the wastewater, which the media often refers to as “raw sewage”, from one of our overflows. You will also learn that the ammonia levels of the discharge are lower than the levels required for treated sewage.
