The All-Electric 2023 Nissan Ariya with 39" Tires - WHY????

In an attempt to raise awareness for sustainability for future generations, Chris and Julie Ramsay are on a mission that no vehicle has ever attempted regardless of powertrain. The Pole to Pole expedition will take them from the North Pole to the South Pole in an all-electric Nissan Ariya. Not only is this a great test for the mid size suv that's running stock gear other than the 39" tires but testing the capability of the current charging infrastructure along the way while working with groups to add chargers and keep them there afterwards for legacy charging.

Other than the Polar expedition crew needed in the North and South Pole, the couple will be on their own the remainder of the time making their way through 3 continents while sleeping in their car.
