What is Eco Sensitive Zone | Aim, Criteria, Govt guidelines, Pros & Cons | Environment & Ecology
Eco-sensitive zones are also known as Ecologically sensitive zone or Ecologically Fragile Areas. These are areas around National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries. The idea is to protect the threatened and endangered species and their habitat, ecosystem from hunters and other human activities. Activities in these areas are regulated by the Ministry of Environment, forest and climate change.
