Guided Meditation for Birth Support: Hypnobirthing for Calm and Power | Expectful

In this hypnobirthing meditation, you will explore a calming visualization and learn to create an anchor for labor. You can do this. You are strong.

Transcript:
 In your own time, I'd like you to close your eyes and relax back wherever you are.

Focus on your breath. Notice how it floods in and out.

In

and out.

I wonder if you can see, sense or imagine yourself walking down a quiet path to the beach.

It's late afternoon. The air is still warm, and the soft glow of the sun makes the grass around your feet glow and amber orange

in the distance you can hear the swoosh of the waves running up the sand. And then sinking back again into the sea

at the end of a ridge of grass. Above the sand and sea is a beautiful white daybed covered in soft blankets, sand pillows.

This has been left here just for you to use,

so you settle down onto the comfortable bed, warm, happy, relaxed, and content.

You wrap the soft blankets around you and the many cushions and pillows softly support you so that you can watch the steady descent of the sun into the sea.

You notice how the colors are changing. Softening glowing. The sun is slowly turning a deep red.

It is truly beautiful, and your heart is at peace

as the scent of the warm evening reaches you. You watch as the sun settles down further into the horizon,

slowly down, sinking deeper and deeper. Until only a sliver is left cresting the waves, and then this tour is gone and the sky is shot through with red, pink, orange

while the waves. Gently drift in and out.

and out. You feel so happy here, so deeply relaxed. You now look up to the sky and notice the first stars of night appearing above you. You feel so small, so safe, supported, and held by the life giving sounds and around you.

Now in this wonderfully relaxed place and relaxed state, I would like to suggest to you that together we can create an anchor for you, an action that you can take whenever you need to. To feel stronger, more capable, more energized, and more relaxed. This anchor will be placed in the palm of your hand.

I also suggest to you that this wonderful anchor will be there for you throughout your labor and your birth, so that at any point should you feel anxious

or tired, It'll switch on feelings of competency, strength, relaxation, and an I can attitude. So let us together now. Work through the steps to build this powerful resource that will be there for you whenever you need it.

Firstly, I would like you to think of a time when you are truly happy,

so very. Very happy. Perhaps you were laughing or smiling.

All was well with the world,

all was well for you, so use your clever mind to locate. That memory for your use. Now,

when you have it, perhaps you may ask yourself, what was I thinking? What was I feeling in my body?

What was I saying? Bring these details to yourself. Now. Draw into yourself all of these emotions and feelings that you had way back then. Let them build. Enjoy this feeling within.

Now, while you have all of these feelings so beautifully amplified and held, I would like you to rub your thumb into the palm of your other hand. That's it. Just rub your thumb around and around into the palm of your other hand while holding in your mind and body, these feelings of happiness.

And now I wonder if you can remember a time when you felt strong. Invincible, resourceful. When you felt that you had all of the attributes that you needed for success at this point,

just focus now on a time when you felt good, strong. Resourceful. When you had everything that you needed for success,

ask yourself, what was I thinking?

What was I feeling in my body?

What was I saying?

Bring these details to yourself. Now, draw into yourself all of these emotions and feelings that you had then. Let them build. Enjoy this feeling within.
