Tania Balil is a Brisbane based musician, with over two decades experience in the performance arts. She has performed both in intimate settings and big festival venues, including 8 times in Woodford Folk Festival since 2009. She has also performed in numerous occasions in Spain.
She performs solo, as a duo with percussionist, within two trios (Tania Balil Trio (band), and Chimilitas (a vocal trio)), as a quartet, and more.
She is open to provide entertainment at private functions, home parties, home concerts, local and national festivals, in Australia and overseas.
Tania always likes crafting the performances to cater for the audience's requests, especially for private functions, making the event a personalised and memorable one.

Tania brings her musical experience to her work as a music therapist and creative arts therapist, which she has conducted since 2005 in school settings (primary and high school), residential aged care facilities, and in private practice, for children, adolescent, and adults with a wide range of life challenges, including ASD, learning disabilities, aged care (dementia and non-dementia specific), mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and history of trauma (sexual abuse, DV, suicidal intention, refugee/asylum seeking population), among others. Although she is not registered with NDIS, Tania can support people with NDIS self-managed funding.

As a professional supervisor, Tania brings the creative arts into the mix as a way to expand the understandings of the issues that concerns the practitioner through the use of creative media. Recommended for those that at times feel that the words are not enough to understand what is going on underneath the surface. No artistic skill required.
