Let us tell you about Heuer – a brand that's been around for ages, making waves since way back in 1860 in Switzerland. They weren't just making watches; they were pioneers in chronographs and even created dashboard instruments for Motor Sports. But things took off for them in the mid-20th century. Imagine this: in 1962, they dropped the Octavia, and in 1963, boom, the Carrera hit the scene. Motorsports inspired these babies, packed manual winding movements, and became iconic designs that still got people talking.

Jack Heuer, the great-grandson of the company's founder, was steering the ship during this crucial time. By the late 1960s, they were knee-deep in the race to make the first-ever automatic chronograph. They teamed up with big names like Hamilton and Breitling, and voilà, 1969 saw the launch of their automatic Chronos. Not stopping there, they souped up the Octavia and Carrera lines with automatic versions and introduced the Monaco – that slick racing chronograph with a square case now their signature look.
