Sudarshan Kriya – Deep Breath Meditation Music For Better Health, Yoga & Wellness

Sudarshan Kriya is a collection of breathing rhythms (of course they're all natural, so don't worry) which help to achieve equal balance between the body, emotions, and mind.

This way you can get rid of stress, fatigue, and negative feelings, for example, anger, frustration, and depression. Only the inner harmony, a lot of energy, and a state of full relaxation remain.

Many people believe that emotional well-being leads to increased productivity, better concentration, and learning ability. The results grow with time, resulting in a success.

Scientists discovered how breathing correlates with the body and mind. They found out that every emotion features a particular breathing pattern. For instance, people who are angry have short & quick breathing, but those, who are sad or upset, have a long & deep breath.

The term 'Sudarshan Kriya' means "practice that is purifying" because 'darshan' signifies "vision", and 'kriya' is "a purifying practice".

Here is a list of several steps of Sudarshan Kriya in chronological order:
- Start with the Thunderbolt pose (called Vajrasana).
- Kneel on a rug & make sure that top of your feet touches the floor. Then sit on the heels and relax.
- The next step is to move the buttocks to the ground, so now you can place it on the floor. If you do it correctly, your ankles will touch the outer part of hips.

Note: remember to always sit straight, but at the same time keep the body relaxed. If the pressure on hips or knees is too high, remain in Vajrasana position.

- Sudarshan Kriya includes breathing, which should be relaxing all the time. It is divided into three cycles:
* the first cycle: breath in & out; relaxed breaths need to be of equal duration,
* the second cycle: exhalations need to last twice the time of your inhalations,
* the third cycle: inhalation should last twice the time of exhalations.

A standard session should last more or less 45 minutes. It doesn't matter when you practice, but remember to wait at least two hours after the meal.
