Should Swahili be an official language for Africa?
Africa is home to linguistic diversity. In fact, It is estimated that the number of languages spoken in the continent could be between 1.250 and 2.100. Nigeria alone has over 500 languages. Swahili, Arabic, Somali, Amharic, Hausa, Fulani and Yoruba are only some of the most spoken languages on the continent. Wouldn’t it be easy for all Africans speak one language?
