· Debate to continue on the Act to Amend the Human
Employment and Resource Training Act; to merge the functions of the Human Employment and Resource Training Trust with the National Youth Service Board and the Apprenticeship Board; to repeal the Apprenticeship Act and the National Youth Service Act; and for connected matters
· The Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering Prevention) (Amendment) Regulations, Resolution, 2019, will be and taken
· Debate to continue on the Report of the Joint Select Committee appointed to complete the review of the Sexual Offences Act, Offences Against the Person Act, the Domestic Violence Act, and the Child Care and Protection Act
Private Members’ Motions
· Debate to be opened by Mr. Heroy Clarke, MP on a motion for the Government of Jamaica take every step to waive all fees to the small farmers and, in particular, the members of the Rastafarian movement so as to ensure that they are competitive in the market place with the corporate producers.
· Debate to be opened by Mr. Michael Stewart, MP on the motion about the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information clearly stating its position with regard to the closure of branch libraries in our deep rural communities; the discussions be held with the Ministry of Science, Energy and Technology to assist in equipping these libraries with the necessary technological devices to ensure that these entities remain open; and that this Honourable House debate the issues surrounding parish libraries and branch libraries to ensure that these research-based centres remain open to the general public.
