AwiaHene (Sun King) Solar Casting Furnace

A young boy lived in the slams of a town once upon a time. Always faced with the cruelty of his environment, his life aim became to make a difference and ensure his people survive against all odds. In the end, he managed to sample the plagues into a device and succeeded by using nature.

AwiaHene is the first ever solar casting machine directed towards craft industry in Ghana, exploiting a natural resource - the sun, for power to provide opportunities for jewellery manufacture in small communities. It is a low risk method and no electricity nor firewood is required although occasionally small amount of charcoal may be used, that is when using the hybrid type.
