Skytech M71 Scout Micro Tricopter Drone

Boldly fly like no heli has flown before.

This is an interesting concept for a drone and the resemblance to a certain scifi spaceship (Enterprise) is immediately noticeable.

Flying this copter is a bit of a challenge and vastly different than flying a normal quadcopter. This heli has a 3 propeller shaft and when you steer the craft it is like it pivots on a central axis connected to the front head. It took a little getting used to but I was able to get it under control, it was still hard to fly it outside with the little breeze that I had, but most copters are like that anyway and especially so the smaller they get.

The controller has a high/low speed toggle button, 3d flip button and your standard trim functions. Uniquely this drone has a one key cruise button. You press it and the drone will circle round and round on a pre-plotted course all on its own, you still have to adjust the throttle to keep it in the air tho.

I think this would be a great introductory gift to get someone started in drone flying. It’s fairly easy to operate with practice and any scifi fan will recognize and love the craft. I received this product to test and review in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

❖Handles differently than normal 4 propeller quadcopters. Slight learning curve
but nothing too hard to get the hang of.
❖Hard to fly in the slightest of breezes, most lightweight quads are.
