In this video I cover the following:
Verterbrae:
Atlas, Axis, typical cervical, thoracic, lumbar.
General structures:
Body, pedicle, lamina, spinous process, transverse process, vertebral arch, vertebral foramen, transverse foramen, demifacets for ribs, facet for ribs, superior articular process, superior articular facet, inferior articular process, inferior articular facet.
Distinguishing features:
Atlas: anterior and posterior tubercles on the anterior and posterior arches respectively, and features of a typical cervical vertebra.
Axis: dens or odontoid process, and features of a typical cervical vertebra.
Cervical: transverse foramen, superior articular facets face posterior like a high-five, uncinate processes, triangular vertebral foramen.
Thoracic: demifacets (on the body) for ribs, facets (on the TP’s) for ribs, round vertebral foramen, superior articular facets face posterior like a high-five.
Lumbar: triangular vertebral foramen, superior articular facets face inward like clapping hands, mamillary processes, large body.
