There Goes the Barn

Wednesday February 24th may have been the saddest day on the farm that I can recall. Just after noon a fire was spotted in the corner of the barn, and by the time Grandpa got the hose out and called the fire department, we had a huge fire on our hands. Eight different fire departments showed up to help us put it out and even blocked off the road so they could set up their water tanks. The fire was put out and started again multiple times throughout the evening, and left for the last time at 7 A.M. the next day. We can not thank the fire departments enough for what they did. Without them, the barn would have been a total loss. From what we can see right now, we think we can save the floor of the barn and just replace the structure above. I am sure I will make videos on this process, so stay tuned for more. Also, thank you to everyone that reached out to us and made sure everyone was safe, that means so much to us. Nobody and no animals were hurt in the fire, and at the end of the day that is truly what matters.
