Milk Your Horse WHAT?!

I’m laughing and in awe at the same time. I’ve owned a few mares growing up and I never saw milk coming out of their udders. Now in the past few months I’ve seen this happen with Grace and Abby. Granted they’ve each had a baby before so maybe this is part of a hormonal thing. There is not a lot of milk and it seems to release pressure. Obviously this Southern California girl has never milked anything! Haha! I was having a hard time showing you in the video.

It doesn’t make sense physiologically for their body to produce milk when they aren’t nursing a foal. My science loving brain doesn’t get it. I know it’s not a problem with their health I just can’t get over the shock.
