Quantum Engineering Lab | Measurement Lab Series | Phase Inverter Balance Measurement

A push-pull output stage depends on two drive signals.
They must be opposite in phase, close in amplitude, and clean enough to control the output tubes without creating unnecessary imbalance.
That is why the phase inverter should be measured.
The oscilloscope shows what the schematic only predicts.
If OUT A and OUT B are not balanced, the output stage receives unequal drive. That can affect clipping symmetry, distortion behavior, output transformer operation, feedback stability, and the way the amplifier responds under dynamic conditions.
The measurement is simple in concept:
same input signal, two output points, two oscilloscope channels.
What matters is the relationship.
Amplitude balance.
Phase opposition.
Headroom.
Clipping symmetry.
Recovery behavior.
Balanced drive is not a claim.
It is something the circuit must prove.
