Rimac Driver Coach Development 1/3

On our quest to transparently show you behind the scenes of the Rimac C_Two development, the time has come to introduce the Rimac Driver Coach. Rimac's unique Driver Coach is a system designed to enable drivers’ abilities enhancement. The AI system instructs the driver how to drive on the racetrack at maximum vehicle performance, using autonomous driving at extremely high-speed. Enjoying the C_Two performance and becoming a highly skilled driver while maximizing safety. It has been in development for 3 years by the Rimac Autonomous Driving team, led by the Director of Autonomous Driving R&D, Sacha Vražić, starring in this video.

In the development of Rimac Driver Coach, the team is using modified KIA Stingers equipped with the same hardware that the C_Two is using, namely 9 cameras, 6 radars, 1 solid-state lidar, 12 ultrasonic sensors, IMU/GPS and a NVIDIA Pegasus Supercomputer which allows - an equivalent of 22 high-end consumer computers. 

This video was filmed at the early stage of Driver Coach development, back in 2019, and more will follow as the project continues.
