Rep. Schiff on MSNBC: Trump Will Only Do What’s Good for Him, Not for America

On Wednesday, July 22, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, joined MSNBC's Ali Velshi to discuss Trump’s demonstrated pattern of putting his personal and political interests over the national interest, with the latest reports that he asked the U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom to “get” the British Open relocated to a Trump Organization golf course. Schiff also discussed his legislation to criminalize quid pro quo pardons to ensure this and future presidents cannot dangle pardons to avoid accountability, as well as his letter to the Department of Homeland Security demanding answers about the use of federal troops in U.S. cities to detain protestors.
