200 year old relics hidden in the fern bed i found metal detecting

In the woods of NH you would never know there was old cabin site here without using a metal detector. Lots of nail iron in the ground right where a structure stood and more than likely a cabin because there is no cellar hole. I am back at the site where I found all the old buttons and I beat down all the ferns so I could wing my Fisher F19. I found a mix of late 1700s and early 1800s artifacts in the ground with a few hours of digging. A very small footprint of a spot I found exploring and reading the land. It is at the tail end of a much larger farm right up against the back rock wall away from the larger proper cellar on the hill. Metal detecting old places here in New England is always great with the long history we have but discovering a lost location is even better.
