📌 Location: Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, South of France

🇬🇧 In the centre of the country town of Saint-Rémy, the Fontaine des Quatre Dauphins lies in Place Jules Pelissier.
The fountain was inaugurated on the 25th of August 1814 in honour of King Louis XVIII.
It was modelled after a fountain in Aix-en-Provence that bears the same name.
The original fountain is larger and dates from the 17th century.
The establishment of running water in Saint-Rémy dates only from 1953.
This was where the neighbourhood's residents would come to fetch water.
