Freemasons: From Cathedral Builders to Kings & Presidents | 900 Years of Hidden Influence

For centuries, the Freemasons have stood at the crossroads of faith, politics, empire, and finance.
In this 2‑hour deep‑dive, we follow their story from medieval stonemasons to presidents, prime ministers, generals, scientists and bankers.

We start in the dust of cathedral building sites, trace the birth of the first Grand Lodge in London in 1717, and then follow Freemasonry as it spreads across the British Empire into colonial America, the new United States, and New Zealand.

Along the way, we examine how many influential figures—George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman, Winston Churchill, Richard Seddon, William Massey, Sidney Holland, Sir Keith Holyoake and others—moved in Masonic networks while shaping the institutions we still live under.

This documentary covers:

Medieval stonemasons’ lodges and how operative masonry became speculative Freemasonry.

The first Grand Lodge in London, Anderson’s Constitutions, and the rise of a portable fraternity.

Early American lodges in Boston and Philadelphia, Henry Price, Benjamin Franklin and George Washington’s Masonic connections.

The laying of the U.S. Capitol cornerstone in a Masonic ceremony and what that meant symbolically for the new republic.

The William Morgan affair, the Anti‑Masonic Party, and the first major backlash against secret societies in the United States.

Nineteenth‑century Masonic temples, the rise of the Shriners, and the role of charity, hospitals, and scholarships.

Freemasonry in New Zealand: English/Scottish/Irish lodge roots, the 1890 Grand Lodge of New Zealand, and the Masonic ties of leaders like Seddon, Massey, Bell, Holland and Sir Keith Holyoake.

Rituals, symbols, handshakes and the inner language of the lodge—described at a high level without revealing private details.

Freemason‑funded scholarships and community programs in the US and New Zealand.

We also look at the battle of interpretations:

How mainstream historians see Freemasonry: a powerful social and charitable network embedded in elite culture, but not proven to be a single global command structure.

How alternative commentators like David Icke, Mark Passio, Jim Marrs, Jordan Maxwell and Janet Ossebaard interpret Masonic symbolism and overlapping memberships as signs of a deeper system of control.

I’m not telling you what to believe.
I’m showing you enough history, names, dates and events that you can form your own conclusion about what the lodge really is—and what it isn’t.

This is Episode 1 in a series on power, faith and hidden networks.
Next episodes will examine the Jesuits, modern Illuminati narratives, the “Protocols of Zion”, and later, Mormonism and its prophetic claims.
