An Indonesian court has sentenced Muhammad Kerry Adrianto Riza to 15 years in prison in a major corruption case linked to state-owned energy company Pertamina. Prosecutors say the scandal caused losses of about 17 billion US dollars, making it one of the country’s largest graft cases. Kerry is the son of oil tycoon Mohammad Riza Chalid, often called "Gasoline Godfather", who has fled Indonesia and is wanted under an Interpol red notice. Authorities said Kerry manipulated a fuel lease deal and colluded with executives. The court also ordered him to pay a fine and 173 million dollars in compensation. The investigation is ongoing.
