Shark

It’s not often sharks will need help because they’re usually the ones you need the help against. However, in our first clip, Kayakers in the waters off South Africa's eastern coast caught a tiger shark's fortunate escape from a net on video. The big mammal became entangled in a shark net because it was attracted by the decomposing carcass of a humpback whale. The whale's carcass can be seen floating nearby. In this next video, this man literally picks up this stranded shark and puts it back into the water. Now that’s what I call helping out a shark.

This next sequence shows a couple of divers in Sydney’s Botany Bay who find a shark with a big lure attached to its mouth. The divers were able to extract the lure from the shark's mouth after two attempts and some shark wrestling. The hook was still there, but it was intended to dissolve with time. This next fish being saved is far from being a shark, but it does have a semblance of a dorsal fin on its back. The fish had some type of parasite inside its body and it was removed by this fisherman. When the fish was put back into the pail, it was full of energy.

Birds

Crows can outsmart most domestic pets and this crow is the perfect example. Watch how it tells these people it is thirsty and wants a drink of their water by pushing their water bottle constantly until they do something about it. The man takes the bottle and removes the cap filling it with water to see what the crow will do next. This crow was extremely thirsty and as soon as the man put the cap filled with water under its nose, it began to drink. After a few sips of water, the crow feels better and takes off. Our next clip shows a raven perched on a fence for over an hour, squawking.

A lady went to check out the raven up close and noticed it had four porcupine quills that had pierced its body, three on the side of its face and one on its wing. The lady tried to help by removing the quills, but the raven, although it stayed there, was slightly apprehensive about the whole thing. She offered the raven flowers, but that didn’t seem to work. In the end, we were told, the lady managed to remove some of the quills. Our next clip is the perfect example of why water is the source of life. This desert bird seems extenuated and dried up, but as soon as this man drops water on it, it gets up and almost seems as if it has resurrected. You can see in its eyes how alive it is after drinking the water.
