Entry is strictly controlled and limited to caravans built before 1980, but an exception is made for reproductions or special interest creations.
Celebrating the 19th year of the Beach Hop with another wonderful week of rock and roll, V8 Engines, Cars, Bikes and nostalgia. This festival is huge for New Zealand with around 1200 vehicles from around the country officially entered, but there are thousands more lining the streets during this festival. Historically, more than 100,000 people flood into Whangamata every Beach Hop.
