Building steps on a hillside.

A basic design and simple project for building a small stair on a slope. It's intended for the DIY. Nothing sophisticated about it. We use it to climb to the wooded trails in the back of our property. Some of you with more specific needs may want to add railings, especially if you have children, and more steps. For us it serves its purpose. We built it in June 2012. It has shifted very little since then after 2 very bad winters (and hurricane Sandy) and it stays put firmly on the ground. And I don't think we spent more than $60 on it.
BTW. The length of the sections of rebar I used to anchor the structure to the ground is 2 feet.
