P-51 Precious Metal feathering propeller

A quick view of the Contra-Rotating propeller mechanism installed on the world's only Griffon powered Mustang: Precious Metal. In flight this would be done by engine oil pressure, the feather pump, although available, should not be necessary. If there is no engine oil pressure, the feather pump has its own oil supply separate from the engine. This airplane is on public display at the Kissimmee Air Museum.
