"19th Indiana: Gone But Not Forgotten" - 1995 Civil War Iron Brigade Doc.

During the Civil War, no fighting force was more respected or feared than the Union Army's Iron brigade. The legendary "black hats" were a beacon of courage and loyalty for the Union cause. The 19th Indiana was one Regiment of that famous Brigade. These valiant men fought at such major battles as Second Bull Run, South Mountain, Antietam and even the great Battle of Gettysburg.

This documentary from 1995 focuses on the modern men who portray the 19th Indiana. Interviews with more than a dozen re-enactors capture the admiration they have for the original 19th, and what they have learned by joining the close-knit family.
