Moonlander Split Keyboard Review, Sound Test & Walkthrough

Timestamps below. I hope you enjoy this detailed review of the Moonlander keyboard and walkthrough of how I have it set up for use. This is a really interesting keyboard but it has a few caveats that you should be aware of if you haven't used a spilt keyboard before. This is to do with home row orientation when using a mouse, it's just not as easy to return from using the mouse due to not having your other hand to help you find your home orientation.

Correction: please note I incorrectly refer to the keycaps as DSA. Please see the pinned comment below for more info.

Ethics:
I bought the Planck EZ myself. Then ZSA sent me the Moonlander in exchange for the unboxing and ‘how to tent’ videos. They let me keep it so the rest of the videos are purely my own thoughts on it without any input or approval from them.
————————————

I also look at the columnar design and what it's like to switch between columnar and ortholinear.

The Moonlander has the DSA keycap profile which makes it possible to easily change layouts which is one of the hardest but most rewarding things I've done in my computer career!

There's also a full walkthrough of the Oryx configuration software, looking at changing backlight colours and setting up macros and layers.

We also have a quick look at build quality, purchasing choices and of course a quick sound test to compare the sound of my Moonlander with Kailh Silver to the Planck EZ with Cherry MX Brown and my 2016 Mac Book Pro for reference.

As is the case with most of the content on my channel this video is about my own real-life experience with the keyboard and explores what it's actually like to live with. I am actually using this as my main day-to-day keyboard on my mac. This keyboard was gifted to me by ZSA but they didn't ask me to make this video - it's all my own personal experience with it.
