Australia's 'beef' is with the UK

The Australian British Chamber of Commerce's David McCredie says a free trade agreement with the UK post-Brexit is a "great opportunity" for Australian exports such as premium beef.

"The price of red meat in the UK is extortionate and it's not that good, so let's get some great Aussie beef over to them," Mr McCredie said.

Mr McCredie said "nothing much changes" for the business community when the UK leaves due to a "transition period" as the UK remains part of the EU customs union temporarily.
