1922 Tutankhmun's Discovery In 20 Colorized Photos!

British Egyptologist and archaeologist Howard Carter finally found the steps to Tutankhamun's burial chamber after years of intensive searching (alternatively spelled with Tutenkh-, -amen, -amon).

They reached the inner chambers of the tomb along with fellow archaeologist, Lord Carnarvon. What followed was a colossal excavation operation that led to the discovery of an impressive set of the most spectacular architectural and historical find, the stone sarcophagus containing a solid gold coffin with the boy-king Tutankhamun's 3,000-year-old mummy.
